I'm passionate about employing my strength in design communication to help businesses become part of the solution. My interest in the environment stems from my earliest days exploring farm fields and woods near my house in Wisconsin — Beginning with clearing trailheads with Stewards of Nature conservation group at Alliant Energy, and continuing with my volunteer efforts at the Chicago Green Festival and Taproot Foundation. Being an avid traveler and nature-lover lends itself to working with companies that are trying to support green products and services, raise awareness of sustainability issues, and promote positive change.
I've been drawing pictures all my life. With my design background and a knack for organizing complex information it was only natural that I gravitate towards creating illustrations that tell a story. You can find my illustrations in the diverse genres of gothic fiction and children’s literature. I’ve enjoyed the success of the children’s chapter book I designed and illustrated, Who Rescued Who? (by Janis Power), which received a 2009 Moonbeam Children’s Book Gold Award.
When I’m not working with clients, you can find me creating hand-bound books, enjoying a game of broomball with friends, or setting off with my camera on an urban adventure.
Bonus Super Fun Fact! “Kehrli” is pronounced CARE-Lee.
